June 6th - USS-Synod Assembly.

The Annual Synod Assembly of the USS-Synod will be held on June 6th at Camp Mount Luther. Selected delegates from across all the churches in the Synod will converge for a day of discussions, elections, worship and any other items which may come before the body.

WELCA Collection Drive for Dog Supplies.

The WELCA chapters in the USS-Synod in preparation for their Assembly gathering on July 25th, are collecting various dog supplies for area shelters. Wet Dog food, Dry Dog Food, Gently used towels, Dog treats and Garbage bags are also needed. There is a box in the church where donations are being accepted.

St. John's Annual Vacation Bible School.

St. John's Annual Vacation Bible School will be held from June 22nd - 24th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This year's theme is "Avalanche Ranch" and there will be games, snacks, crafts and other items for the children to learn about God and why God is in control of all things.

St. John's is an ELCA Lutheran congregation. We are the oldest church in Mifflinville founded in 1792. Our mission is focused on serving those in our community and around the globe. We believe that all people have a special gift from God to help serve and to worship God in their own unique and special way!!

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

St. John's was founded as a Union Church with the German Refored in 1792. We were known in deeds and documents as the "German Church" since our heritage were the German settlers in Columbia County..

OUR MINISTRIES

St. John's offer a wide variety of ministries. We offer a Children's Learning Time on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am We also have a Vacation Bible School in June. We have a Grief Support Ministry The Welcome Table a Senior lunch gathering and more!

WORSHIP SERVICE

We worship on Sundays at 9:00 am with a traditional service with Holy Communion each Sunday, We have an adult choir, a handbell and handchime choir and occasionaly special guest musicians We also sponsor our annual "Polka Mass" in October each year

There are many different ways to support the mission and ministries at St. John's From donation of non-perishable food items, cooked meals for the welcome table and through monetary giving. Contact our church office if you would like to support our ministries.
